Lexincrypt
Of Unsound Mind
Digital album will be available Sept. 21st, 2010
A storm has been lurking overhead and the rains of discontent, self-loathing, and helplessness are now coming down in full force. After a five-year hiatus, Lexincrypt returns with its new album "Of Unsound Mind," its most mature, dark, and anguished material to date. The philosophy of Lexincrypt has always centered on maintaining a balance of aggression and depression; that balance, however, has been lost as the latter has inevitably consumed the former. With a disconsolate focus on personal shortcomings, ineptitude, instability, and the absence of the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel, "Of Unsound Mind" touches on the many angles of just that -- a mind with a penchant for self-destruction, exhausted by days dark and darker.
The turmoil and experiences that paved the way for this release were not only emotionally difficult but also exceptionally draining in every respect, conjuring otherwise dormant personal demons as well as dealing with the ones that never went away. Because of this, KarlozM (Manufactura), Ash (Filament 38), and Xiescive have lent their remarkable talents to reinstate the momentum in this endeavor -- an endeavor that may have otherwise remained forever stagnant. Lexincrypt also finds a new home with Crunch Pod to bring you its most self-defining album to date.

Several months after the release of Process of Elimination, the critically acclaimed sophomore full length by Cervello Elettronico, comes a collection of experimental tracks titled "aural". Six new songs inspired by speculation of space and structure are complemented with lush ambient textures and sometimes harsh dissonance. While Cervello Elettronico is no stranger to sample based music, "Aural" includes "Blood Sells" the project's first composition made solely of cinematic audio samples bringing a new modern meaning to "found art".
This new EP foreshadows a departure from Cervello Elettronico's previous signature raw sound to a more mature matriculate destination.

With a pulse, like your thudding heart as they engage the drill, comes the first new release from Polluted Axis since "A Day In The Life Of..." "The Trephining Manual".
With only grinding reminders of his power noise roots present, this single from the upcoming "Trepanation Nation" Album, expands on the cyberpunk sound that we have enjoyed from all their recent remixes. Bringing powerful and moving remixes from The Ludovico Technique, Mangadrive, and Lexincrypt you need this single far more than that new hole in your head.
So turn off the trephine drill and stuff the music in your earholes instead.

The time has come...
Purge.The.Sky, the latest chapter in the Mangadrive saga, spirals into the atmosphere and beyond with hyper-paced Techno beats, over-distorted synth lines and the occasional ambush lurking the shadows.
Stepping in with a ferocious bite, this album is tightly packed with over an hour of red lined energy and refuses to idle itself for very long. Appearances by James Church (Lucidstatic), Brad Vaccine (Torrent Vaccine) and the hard dance duo Studio-X allow the dynamic attitude of the project to be displayed.
Breaking genres, crossing lines and keeping the gas to the floor are just a few of the playlist's intentions that are addressed to the listener who is thrust onto a trip through a future where machines dominate both music and man.

Influential, controversial, admired and despised. The Madness known as Manufactura returns with the brand new album, "As They Drown In Their Lies".
The 2006 Polluted Axis release of "A Day In The Life Of..." beats you over the brain with the Noise Bat that only Luxotek and guest artist Josh Franklin (aka Rev Dj Razorslave of Death By Corrosion) can swing.
Polluted Axis drags you thru a typical day of Gritty, Hard Hitting Beats and Tire Fires in true fuck all style, Assaulting your senses and sensibilities (and friends, relatives, and several small woodland creatures*) with the pushes of their magic noise buttons.
Hailed as "The absolute best Polluted Axis released this month" by Jason Hollis of Endif and 4 out of 5 dentists**, this release is sure to make you want to plan a swath of destruction and chaos thru your own suburban neighborhood.
"A Day In The Life Of..." has recently been remastered by Daq, who has picked apart the original audio and made them as painful as possible to the human ear.

Influential, controversial, admired and despised. The Madness known as Manufactura returns with the brand new album, "As They Drown In Their Lies".
Once again blending everything from rythmhic noise to electro, dubstep, techno, trance and IDM. For this new work Manufactura has brought along a few friends for the production, for the damage and for the mayhem, including Lexincrypt, Iszoloscope, Electronic Substance Abuse (ESA) and Lucidstatic.
This particular body of work is being dedicated to all Poets, Writers, Artists & Musicians. It includes 4 tracks specifically reinterpreting the poems and songs of Charles Bukowski, Leonard Cohen, Jim Carroll & Lou Reed. Sinister, dark, twisted and filled with a distinctive malevolance that may cause this album to be considered one of Manufactura's heaviest and strongest releases to date.

The Polluted Axis
Plastic Christ
Buy Digital Album online @ Crunch Pod
Polluted Axis, one of the new signings to Crunch Pod, has decided to reissue one of their long out of print early releases as a digital exclusive. "Plastic Christ" was originally released by Polluted Axis in 2001 on a limited run of CDRs sold directly by the band.
Upon signing with Crunch Pod for a new album in 2010, P.A. member Luxotek decided that "Plastic Christ" should be reissued first as an introduction to what the project has done in the past.
Luxotek describes the concept behind "Plastic Christ" as: "directly and completely inspired by the original release of THX1138 and the idea of such a perfect dissidence in what is maintained as a perfect and
utopian fascist society...
The names of the songs and the one sample used is the "religious" mantra played back from a pre-recorded priest shown as anglo-sized poster of Jesus Christ in every glass confession booth, which inspired the title of the album. The cover, like most PA albums, is unrelated and is a vulgar snippet into the ruination of our world."
Sonically, the album can best be described as early '00 era style rhythmic noise - a style made popular by such acts as Winterkälte, Converter and KiEW.

The name itself stems from the drug-assisted aversion therapy found in the novel and film "A Clockwork Orange", in which the patient is forced to view violent imagery while injected with experimental medication in an attempt to condition the subject?s behavior.
The Ludovico Technique as a band takes this concept and transforms it into music. The lyrical content draws from personal experience and observation. You will hear nothing which has not been translated from feeling to sound. It is harsh industrial music highlighting the dark aspects of the human experience as well as the depths to which the human mind can deteriorate.

The eagerly awaited second album by Auricle Media artist Manufactura! Never one to repeat himself, Karloz.M brings us a new evolution in the Manufactura sound, this time brilliantly melding deeper atmospheric sensibilities and pounding EBM influences with his signature brand of crushing powernoise rhythms. Obscure samples frame the infectiously driving tracks that prove to be just too fucking concussive to sit still to - this is music made for movement, preferably violent movement.
Featuring a collaboration with Notime (Scott Sturgis) and Auricle Media signing Broken Fabiola, as well as an excellent remix by aggro stalwarts Aghast View, this album is something which we are very proud to bring to the public. Mastering by J. Cameron of Lexincrypt / Symbiont.

Nothing exceeds like EXS. Or so Brit-Industrial mavericks Uberbyte would insist.
Their third album stands as a defiantly differant, brutal beast of a record. Far heavier than their prior work and possessed of a supercharged attitude that propels their music into unexpected realms of twisted weirdness and aggression. Crunch Pod are happy to bring you what will doubtless be one of the most controversial and devisive records of 2010.
Citing punk ethics, Powernoise aggression and Electro grooves, Uberbyte have gone out their way to create an unpredictable collection of material that swaggers between the tongue in cheek and rip snorting psychosis. Raw and personal, and unwilling to play by any rule book, be prepared for a release that will pummel the listener into submission through a vicious streak unlike any other.
There's never quite been a record like it. Economic and imaginative by turn, this is uneasy listening of the most disturbing kind. Powered by one of the scenes most deranged imaginations and leaking bitterness, rage and insanity, EXS is here. Prepare to feel the pain.

Two years after releasing his Crunch Pod label debut, "Negate the Instigator", comes "Process of Elimination". "PoE" features eleven new tracks of harsh sounds, infectious rhythms, and calculated sampling that will evoke praise from the most critical of old school industrial and electronica fans.
"PoE" is a melting pot of different inflences including EBM, techno, experimental and industrial making it an essential item to anyone's electronic music library. Also, CE adds some vocals into the mix with guest vocals appearances by Manufactura's Karloz M (on "Polarity") and Uberman from Uberbyte (on "Automation And Dissent").

C/A/T is back with a vengeance and proves this ever-changing project has not gone anywhere since 2008's "The Great Crisis".
From the opening track (a nod to "The Great Crisis") to the somber and unsettling finale - Ben Arp re-establishes C/A/T as a band to keep an attentive eye on. The meat of this EP is a core of 4 songs that feature some of the most structured and melodic sounds ever to appear on a C/A/T release. C/A/T ups the ante with dark, harsh and accusatory vocal work that shadows even the lyrical and vocal content from 2007's "Point Of No Return".
Also included is a re-working of the 2007 track "Dead To Me". Arp has stripped this track to it's core and rebuilt it from the ground up into a far more melodic and aggressive track than the original.

Prometheus Burning has straddled the industrial and experimental noise scenes for years with their blend of jagged, compelling dark electronics, digital banshee vocals, and their devastatingly powerful, visceral live performances. 2009 marks ProBurn's return to the spotlight with their new full length release and Crunch Pod debut; Plague called huMANity.
With the unleashing of this new concept album, vocalist Nikki Telladictorian and electronics guru Greg VanEck set and follow their own standards with a truly unique vision. Based loosely on the mythology of Pandora's Box, Plague called huMANity is ProBurn's most ambitious and accessible work to date. Combining remarkably varied elements of industrial, breakcore, and IDM, Plague Called HuMANity has an artistic bloodlust that oozes from every fractured note. Seeping with subtle nods and references to their earliest electro-industrial influences of the 80's and 90's, Plague called huMANity even features their own take on the classic Ministry floorcrusher "You Know What You Are" as an album bonus.

Hard electronics polygamist Matt Fanale, aka Caustic, has been churning out his blend of industrial combined with everything from techno, punk, ebm, breakcore, and beyond for going on 7 years now, releasing most of it on California's Crunch Pod label, and January brings Caustic's new 2CD THIS IS JIZZCORE to the ears of the world with nearly 2 hours of original material and remixes.
While the title is a joke on artists self-titling their own genres to fit their egos, it's arguably Caustic's most "serious" work yet, with tracks careening from headbanging stompfests to glitched out clubtracks to scream-along anthems. Caustic isn't concerned as much with sticking with one style, but morphing the music like an mp3 player on shuffle to kick maximum ass on every track. In a world where attention spans have turned to Jello, Caustic accepts the challenge like a six year old souped up on pixie sticks and drags musical cohorts from everywhere from XP8 to Null Device to Everything Goes Cold and The Gothsicles. There's even a collaboration between Caustic and the legendary Tom Shear of Assemblage 23, under his idm project Nerve Filter.

Following up their surprise hit debut "SIC", the UK's confrontational industrialists Uberbyte are now ready to unleash their follow-up, titled "DOS," on Crunch Pod.
DOS maintains Uberbyte's penchant for hook driven songwriting, this time with a darker, grittier edge. It also sees the band emerge from a whirpool of influences into something altogether more realized and mature. On the new disc, the band's central recording hub and main clubwrecker, also known as Uberman, remarked:
"With SIC we announced ourselves, but DOS goes a quantum level beyond that. We're still all about songs and hooks but this time we got down to showing some more teeth, a bit more of the kind of aggression and groove we have live. It was a blast to make too-- lots of fun and that's what really counts to us."
Uberbyte remains, at their core, a mixture of the old and new school of industrial, pumping out enough pile driving, slam dunking power for any dancefloor while at the same time being capable of throwing out lean, distinctive, melodic material with a dark, twisted sense of humor.
Get ready to be Uberbyte's industrial bitch.

Alter Der Ruine sets the bar high for themselves with their new CD "Giants From Far Away".
They've pulled a lot of different influences into the mix to create an album unlike anything else they've done to date. It's crammed with enough electronics to make the dancefloor happy, as well as generous genre forays to keep a keen listener amused.
With elements of electro, industrial, IDM, hardcore and even black metal, Giants From Far Away sets out to be something more than just another album. And it could quite possibly be that something with enough personality to be your new audio best friend.

UK sturm and drang stompers UBERBYTE rose from the ashes of the controversial industrial rock outfit Killing Miranda in late 2006. Newly rechristened with the enigmatic moniker "Uberman", KM's former vocalist quickly took Uberbyte to the stage, providing support to such heavy hitters as Hocico, The Cruxshadows, Panzer AG, KiEw, Die Krupps, XP8, and Faderhead, becoming an almost overnight sensation in the flourishing, revitalized UK industrial scene.
An appearance on the distinguished 2007 four-disc compilation ENDZEIT BUNKERTRACKS III for the club hit "Total War" pushed Uberbyte even further into the spotlight, with their fanbase dramatically increasing due to their energetic live performances (which have already taken them as far as Mexico), remixes for the likes of Leatherstrip, XP8, and Aesthetic Perfection , and grassroots local and international support.
Wasting no time, UBERBYTE will be releasing their debut CD SIC on the U.S. label CRUNCH POD, home of industrial upstarts such as CERVELLO ELETTRONICO, MANUFACTURA, C/A/T, and CAUSTIC. SIC's lean programming and infectious hooks keep one foot grounded in industrial's dance heyday of CUBANATE, LEATHER STRIP, and early :WUMPSCUT: while maintaining a keen eye on the future with influences such as GRENDEL and HOCICO. While comparisons can be made to today's current ebm/industrial fusions, none sound exactly like Uberbyte, and that demonstrates why they are on the rise. SIC is a head welding relentless rhythmic assault that will get stuck in your head for days to come.

When a series of traumatic events come to ahead, certain individuals transform themselves into something entirely different from what they were. All reason, perception and awareness of what is real, seize to be within the self. A state of delusion overcomes; beliefs and ideas are severely altered. History and memories are replaced with events that might have never taken place. Name, appearance and personality are distorted to correlate with the corrosion of the self. Relocation and sudden travel to another city or another life are commonplace. Lastly and perhaps, the most destructive and devastating aspect of this affliction inevitably comes to sharp excruciating focus. The condition and all of its aspects don't exist, they are not real. Conceivably all of this too, was just a figment of a disturbed mind. Here now is a collection of recorded events during such an instance. Where madness consumes and dissolves our conscience, our convictions and the consequence incurred by all of this. A glimpse into a world that quite possibly is just around the corner, awaiting each and every one of us.
After many highly acclaimed and successful releases, Manufactura returns with what can only be considered as its most ambitious album release to date, "Psychogenic Fugue". Once again Karloz.M takes a myriad of musical genres, destroys all of them and makes a new, sometimes shocking, sometimes soothing, and always brooding yet powerful, distinctive and very difficult to describe style of his own. Implementing a more vocal experimentation with various styles that are both haunting and deep-felt, it certainly holds many surprises for the listener. Fusing new sounds and noises with raw, violent, quiet and emotional concepts almost seamlessly has now become a Manufactura trademark and masterfully displayed on this release. The sheer size, scope and reach of this uninhibited work of art, makes it Manufactura's most endearing and accessible as well. A long time staple in many dance club, experimental & electronic music play lists from DJ's around the world, Manufactura now expands to a wider multitude of various tastes.
To commemorate 10 years of Manufactura since the inception of recorded material, to express gratitude and to appease its most ferocious fans, a second disc titled "A Damaged Symphony for Depraved Dementia N.2: Regression through Precognitive Dissonance" will be available along with the new album as a limited edition double album. Only 1,000 copies of this double disc will be made available with complete and exclusive artwork, lyrics, photography and design, all specifically created by Karloz.M himself. The second disc should be considered as entirely NEW material, it is a complete reworking, production and redesign of several tracks featured on the first 2 albums released by Manufactura, which are now both out of print. These new versions of the now classic material can be described as "fraternal twins" of the originals, the other side of the coins. Diehard fans can rest assured to be pleased and surprised by these new interpretations and brand new material from this electro-industrial project many now consider a legend in the field.

Manufactura's new EP "In The Company Of Wolves" is a commentary on the passage from sanity to madness and the life we throw away as we make that transition. It is a series of dream sequences that cover the many ways a man becomes a monster while the reality of the world around him slowly rips him into pieces. Several new tracks are showcased while The majority of the tracks are moody & devastating reworks and remixes of original & previous material by Manufactura and very special guest remixers.
The EP itself is very complex and not for those looking for a straight power noise or industrial/EBM release. It puts forth the premise that innocence must end, and we must all in time give in to the horror of the animal within. The ending is one that comes as a surprise and a shock to most listeners.
The remixes are some of the most intricate for Manufactura as most were redesigned & altered by Manufactura itself. Those who listen to this release will either walk away confused or find themselves changed in some subtle way.

Before the hookers, arrests, multiplatinum albums, papscraping, and reunion tours, there's was Caustic's debut EP I AM ON FIRE. Originally released in the early days of industrial (er, 2004), IAoF represents a veritable SUPERSTAR in his infancy. 100 copies were made and sold locally, but for the first time all 5 of the original tracks and 3 remixes (by the likes of The Gothsicles, also relatively unknown at the time), plus unearthed demos from the pre-Fire sessions. Two brand new "2008" mixes of Pass The Drill and Decadent Tongue, and the first official release of Caustic's staple track "Hocus Pocus".

David Thrussell first came to the eyes and ears of the electronic music scene in 1992 as a member of Australia's Snog, whose dance hit, "Corporate Slave", was the first of a still-on going string of club classics. His early years in the scene were strictly with Snog, working to build up their sound and audience base with a number of successful singles and two highly regarded full length CDs: Lies, Inc. and Dear Valued Customer.
In 1994, Snog released an Australian extended single, Hey Christian God, which included a large amount of material that was not intended for international release under the Snog umbrella. Instead, this material became the nucleus of the first release of Thrussell's solo project, Black Lung. Black Lung combines many aspects great work such as of cabaret voltaire, aphex twin, gyorgy ligeti, in a recording that could just as easily find a home with fans of electronica, techno, ambient, industrial, and 21st century avant-garde compositions."
Crunch Pod is excited to bring the first domestic Black Lung release since 1997's 'The Disinformation Plague' on Metropolis Records. 'The Coming Dark Age' marks another important milestone in Black Lung's career and this version features 2 exclusive tracks to this edition.

Visitor Attractions is the follow up to the 2005 critically praised debut album "You are my all and More". In this, his second full length outing, Tony Young reflects on everything he sees around him day by day. From the realization of the speed in which life passes you by to the types of people you encounter on your journey, to absolute revulsion at the way mankind treats its non human companions on this earth, Young has sought to tell a story through a backdrop of heart rendering string sections, piano and broken beats.
Visitor Attractions is a roller coaster ride of styles fighting for supremacy from emotional IDM, to breakcore to subtle electronica, ambient with flashes of industrial, displaying an all out maturity and growth from this artist aiming right for the heart.

Caustic, the main musical output of Madison, WI promoter/DJ Matt Fanale (aka DJ Eurotic) debuts here with the album "Unicorns, Kittens & Shit".
Matt Fanale started this project in 2002 to make music that he enjoyed hearing in clubs, the way he wanted to hear it: stompy, loud, and full of samples. With this creative outlet, he attempts to combine the raw ferocity of Wax Trax-era industrial with modern, rhythmic powernoise, and the results have worked. Simply put, it's aggressive music that will keep you moving on the dancefloor.
Matt has already shared the stage with such noted acts as Terrorfakt, Manufactura, and Hecate, and will be playing live on both coasts this summer, being invited to the first Los Angeles Industrial Festival as well as the fourth annual Providence Noise Festival in Rhode Island. Caustic will also have the coveted opening slot for the debut U.S. performance of the currently-hot-as-hell This Morn' Omina.

"The Rogue Pair" is the next logical step in the progression of the C/A/T project. Building off the momentum of "The Prisoner" C/A/T has added a member to the project and adopted a more straight forward and beat-oriented "power noise" sound. Adding a more ferocious and relentless rhythmic structure into the music, "The Rogue Pair" will grab you in and then pummel you with broken and distorted beat after broken and distorted beat.
This new release from C/A/T also takes a more personal and instrospective approach than the more worldly/socio-political overtones in "The Prisoner" and "Worldwide Totalitarian Control".

"Presence: Into The Here And The Now" is the 3rd album by Manufactura. It is the continuation of a journey that began five years earlier with Regression, and was continued through with Precognitive Dissonance. However the path through insanity and madness has reached a major fork in the road, and rather then choosing one road over the other, Manufactura instead chose to just destroy all of the roads and rebuild a new path of self destruction, hatred, madness and pain, that was previously unheard of from this project.

Free Death
Tyrone
OUT OF PRINT
Free Death has stepped up and unleashed a heavyweight debut album: motherfuckin' Tyrone. Backed by a decade of self-produced cassettes, soundtracks, and compilation appearances, Free Death's Zach Archer has already done it all. His live performances are legendary for their intensity, and his ultra-rare CDRs are infamous for their humor. Now, Crunch Pod's best kept secret brings us his most fiery work to date.
Conceived in the depths of brain damage and poverty, Tyrone carries on Free Death's tradition of maximalism-in-music, finding gems in the mud of chaos and broken dreams. This is post-apocalyptic funk for people who overclock their minds. Witness the horn section, fragmented samples, giant chords, and alternate tuning schemes... This is the real deal, because it's real new. Not for the faint-of-heart!

C/A/T follows up the critically acclaimed "Worldwide Totalitarian Control" EP with his debut full length album "The Prisoner". After years of compilation appearances and limited issue EP releases, C/A/T has fine tuned his sound and presents 10 tracks of conspiritorial electronic beat-driven music. Taking the aural and visual aesthetic of the obscure 1960s television show "The Prisoner" one step further, C/A/T creates a unique album that crosses genres but always returns to a rhythmic foundation. Somber melodies back dance-floor proven rhythms and accusatory and enlightening samples fill the remaining void. Also features a collaboration between C/A/T and Nein Recordings artist Epidemia.

Features all of the remixes, the original track, a re-working by C/A/T and a live version from an August '03 performance in Portland, Oregon! Limited to 50 copies on CD-R.

This is what happens when Big Tex and C/A/T infiltrate music of others. You have been warned. The original CD-R version of this release included bonus video material that unfortunately due to legal reasons can no longer be made available to the public at large. In other words, we got in trouble and blacklisted in the world of community television because of this. The true members of Relation Training Course have no idea they are members of Relation Training Course. Limited to 25 copies on CD-R.
