Since 2004, Cervello Elettronico has been experimenting with dance beats in front of audiences all over the world in new and interesting ways sharing the same stage with various musical acts as Meat Beat Manifesto, Esplendor Geometrico, Snog, Haujobb, Combichrist, Noisex, Terrorfakt, P.A.L. , and Combichrist.
Two years after releasing his Crunch Pod label debut, "Negate the Instigator", comes "Process of Elimination". "PoE" features eleven new tracks of harsh sounds, infectious rhythms, and calculated sampling that will evoke praise from the most critical of old school industrial and electronica fans.
"PoE" is a melting pot of different inflences including EBM, techno, experimental and industrial making it an essential item to anyone's electronic music library. Also, CE adds some vocals into the mix with guest vocals appearances by Manufactura's Karloz M (on "Polarity) and Uberman from Uberbyte (on "Automation And Dissent").
"Process of Elimination" marks a key evolutionary point in the path Cervello Elettronico is forging in the world of electronic music.

With so many labels in the current climate consolidating and promoting "Their Sound," Crunch Pod continues to expand it's eclectic roster of unique artists, presenting the debut "Dendrite" from Australia's young "Bubbergum Cyber" artist Bitch Brigade.
Combining vocals reminiscent of Ladytron and Battery, Bitch Brigade's Agrippa Cryoflesh varies light, bouncing EBM ("Licky the Carnivorous Pony") suited for the dancefloor with the percussive and more introspective (the Snog-ish "Tears Are What We Do Now") having the same success, but never covered with the trite, jaded residue left behind from so many other artists in the genre.

C/A/T is back with a vengeance and proves this ever-changing project has not gone anywhere since 2008's "The Great Crisis".
From the opening track (a nod to "The Great Crisis") to the somber and unsettling finale - Ben Arp re-establishes C/A/T as a band to keep an attentive eye on. The meat of this EP is a core of 4 songs that feature some of the most structured and melodic sounds ever to appear on a C/A/T release. C/A/T ups the ante with dark, harsh and accusatory vocal work that shadows even the lyrical and vocal content from 2007's "Point Of No Return".
Also included is a re-working of the 2007 track "Dead To Me". Arp has stripped this track to it's core and rebuilt it from the ground up into a far more melodic and aggressive track than the original.
"We Are Still Alive" is some of the most honest and compelling work from C/A/T and gives only a taste of what to expect from 2010's "Chaos And Terror" album.
The first 100 copies will come with C/A/T stickers and a limited edition 1" button only available through this website.

Captive Six is the instrumental and off-kilter alter ego of C/A/T's Ben Arp.
While C/A/T has taken a purely vocal-based, EBM style with recent recordings, Captive Six snares the raw and harsh instrumental recordings Arp was originally known for.
Noizemaker is a re-contextualization of a track C/A/T originally wrote in 2004. Five years later, Arp tackles this track again from a different perspective. We have included as a bonus track *only if purchased on disc or digitally from Crunch Pod* is the original mix of the C/A/T track which is currently otherwise unavailable anywhere else.
Also included are the tracks "The Job", "Shut Down Everything" and "Interrogation" which provide a glimpse of what to expect on Captive Six's debut album "Let It Burn" due in October 2009.
Now, go inside and make some more noise... NOIZEMAKER!

'True Industrial Freedom'
Not a just term, but a thought, an ideal, a point of view... one that can be used to describe [syndika:zero]'s debut on Crunch Pod, 'Blindness'.

With tour plans in the works for their equally crushing live shows , [syndika:zero] already gave us the example, and with Blindness they're starting to set the new standard.
Also, the first run of 'Blindness' on CD comes with a second CD called 'Chaos Exemplified', featuring remixes from the likes of Uberbyte, Enduser, C/A/T, HexRx and more.

11.24.09 .:. Crunch Pod signs End: the DJ

Having his busiest year yet touring in North America and taking part as a stage member of acclaimed producer SEBASTIAN KOMOR's (ICON OF COIL, ZOMBIE GIRL) new KOMOR KOMMANDO project, END: the DJ is also at work at the follow up to his previous album, last year's "The Chrome Elemental". Whereas that album was available for a free download to introduce End to the masses, things have changed considerably in a year's time.
"Certain independent music labels started showing interest in my next project soon after TCE's release", End states, "I was honoured and surprised by the continued interest. But there are few labels I felt I would be a real addition to. Especially to the few Industrial music related labels in the United States, because I thought they would not be open to the mix album concept as other genre labels are."
CRUNCH POD, based around Sacramento, California & home to ALTER DER RUINE, CAUSTIC, C/A/T and UBERBYTE among others, is one of the labels End felt would be a dream to work with. "I've been a fan of Alter Der Ruine & C/A/T for a while now and Uberbyte is fantastic", says End. "With such a strong indie label, I thought it would be impossible for me to join. But...it wouldn't hurt to ask."
Fortunately, End sent an online message to the label & did just that. He was accepted, much to his pleasant surprise. The new album's title is"ENDTROVERT" and will be released just in time before End embarks on a short tour with ANGELS ON ACID next Spring ("A DJ & live artist co-headlining should be quite interesting"), then end will have an album tour for the new release before heading over to the Kinetik Festival in Montreal to DJ & perform as part of Komor Kommando live.
Much of the new album's tracks are in the can, due in part to an album End had planned to self-release by the end of this year. "Now that I'm signed with Crunch Pod, I felt I had to scrap the idea of that album & elevate things a bit more. Being a part of this amazing label has reinforced me to attempt to convey much more to what can go into a mix album. I want to make this album much like the best mix albums in Electronic Dance genres have done. I want to make it impactful & thoughtful as well as heavily club friendly & non-stop, hence the album's title."
Some of the album's look on CD will reflect End's intentions- some of the artwork will be provided by DAVID MACK, famed artist of the KABUKI graphic novels and one of End's favourite modern artists. "David's art style is amazing!" End says. "When his subject matter goes to that of self-identity thru one's perspective of the world, it's beyond what words can express. Being a part of Crunch Pod and then having this news from David has been very monumental for me."

06.11.09 .:. Crunch Pod releases free label sampler
Crunch Pod is excited to announce the first in a series of free online label samplers called "Screaming Into The Void".
Volume One of "Screaming Into The Void" features a selection of 12 tracks from many of Crunch Pod's releases from the just released "Noizemaker EP" by Captive Six all the way back to 2007's "Booze Up & Riot" by Caustic.
Crunch Pod label head, Ben Arp, said, "... the idea for this came from many discussions with Paul from [syndika:zero] about how to better get the music out to the listening public. After seeing the success other labels in the scene like Force Of Nature has had with their free download releases I figured to give it a shot and see if could help Crunch Pod."
"Screaming Into The Void" is planned to release a new, free, online volume every 6 months to showcase the most current Crunch Pod releases.
You can download this free sampler by going to the temporary "Screaming Into The Void" page at: www.crunchpod.com/screaming/.
